Walk right in, it's around the back..

just a half a mile from the rail road track.

I had to laugh. While watching the turkey fry- yes Baby Sister had to fry the sucker, and it was damn good- Brother #2 said "It's been a lot of years since you sang Alice's Restaurant for me." So I did. As previously noted, my idiot savant thing is lyrics, so there we sat on the porch frying a 20 pound turkey and I sang the whole damn thing for him. Right down to the
twenty seven eight-by-ten color glossy pictures with circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one. Yeah, I'm weird like that.. and it's kind of a family tradition.

Excellent day, I really miss my brother.. and it was awfully nice to have the day with him, especially after the August drama. So enjoy your day too Arlo- and the rest of y'all as well..

Please post an mp3 of yourself singing my dear! I would like you to find a Bing Crosby sound-a-like, and perform "Baby It's Cold Outside" to get me into the holiday spirit. A johnny Mercer sound-a-like would work as well, but Bing is preferable. I know you have it in you, and I for one, would love to hear your amazing voice. Consider it a Christmas present to all of your adoring readers. Double Dare Ya!

(please?)

p.s.

The word verification for this comment was "ImFatsy" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, how rich!

Oh my. Wish we coulda been there...The Spouse adores "Alice's Restaurant".

Happy Thanksgiving, dollface!

My word verification was "gaskwi"...also festally appropriate, no?

Alice's Restaurant is a perfect Thanksgiving tune. "...and the sign said 'closed on Thanksgiving.'" "...and rather than bring that one up, we decided to throw ours down." In our family we try to travel with shovels and rakes and impliments of destruction. Gawd I love that song.

Tater- Adoring readers? What, you and the dog?? There you go, starting stuff again ;) Loves me some Johnny Mercer- how did you know? ImFatsy- you totally made that up..

Lorraine- it was pretty funny. His favorite part being the seeing eye dog and Officer Obie.. Hope you and yours had a grand time!

Java- love those implements of destruction ;)

You can get anything you want... I'm glad to hear you had a great day.

I am going to have to add my voice for the request, nay, demand for a sampling of your singing talent.

How's about some Hoagy Carmichael? Georgia, or maybe Skylark? Not exactly seasonal, but I loves me some Hoagy. Stardust is perhaps one of the greatest songs in the American songbook.

Oh, verification is oaywrck? Sounds like a critique from a Jewish mother.

tate- Instigator...

Hat- mine never do either..

Will- Don't forget to tip your waitress and bartender!

EG- Et tu Tony? And on top of that, now I can't get Stardust out of me head.. I think that's something my friend Rochelle's mom used to say when she thought she was dressed like a tramp.
