it's been a really complicated day-

I needed a little beautiful- Nureyev in arguably one of his finest moments, and the incomparable Fonteyn. He was beyond magnificent, the one time I was blessed to have seen him live on stage my heart quite literally stopped.. and the one brief moment I met him in person was quite memorable- There may never be a partnership quite like that again.

Why does it not surprise me you would choose a dance moment. He was incredible wasn't he - I saw him a few times in Toronto but only once with the incredible Fonteyn - they were magic together and at that point she was a good 15 years older than him (a hundred years in dancer terms) but they had a magic together. She was my first Princess Aurora and no one has come near her.

You actually met him? I bet he was dynamic off stage as on?

Granny- He could fly, for real!

Wills- I knew you'd appreciate it. She was grand, wasn't she? He was a force of nature, intense and hot beyond the bounds of human decency.

Billy- and do it on their toes and sans steroids and other heavy drugs. Hard to balance yourself high.

I remember, some years back, when Nureyev was featured on the cover of Time magazine under the caption, "World's greatest athlete"..It's true.

ahhh...Le Corsaire, lovely. And also ACK! I just read your last post. Holy crapolski lady, I don't pop in for a bit and your entire world spins up and away. Hope all is back to some level of sanity (hah hah, yeah right). I'm squenching you. ***squench***

KA- They really were magic together.

Sling- Yep, I'd like to see one of those jacked up ballplayers try doing a third of it.

Citizen- He was simply not of this world, which explains the dark side as well.

Sage- I still pull out my toe shoes upon occasion, but the ankles get prety pissed at me when I do.

Hat- I think the term you're searching for is "to hell in a hand basket" sugar. And thanks for the squench ;)
